My design, made of simple circles and lines, conveys my message that you can fully satisfy yourself with limited resources. Not by seeking too many things, but by becoming more aware of everything around you, you can be filled with little delights you have never noticed before. Mino Hand-made washi, I believe, passes on the same message.Mino washi does not consume a lot of energy for its production, and is solely made of kozo, paper mulberry. It is the fruit of Japanese traditional craftsmanship, and will be the key item of my product line, as well as kimono and tenugui (Japanese hand towels made of cotton). The earth-friendly washi-manufacturing optimizes the use of resources, cherishes them, and recycles them until the very end. Now is the time to bring back the ancient spirit of those days when washi was essential to daily life. Believing that life with washi will raise awareness and help heal the earth, I will continue to produce something to be remembered for a long time.
